People of Interest - Edward Tully

Edward Chaffin Tully, along with Wiley Williams were early settlers in the area and cofounded the Picacho Mine in 1858. Mr. Tully later moved to Bitterwater and was elected on the Democratic ticket to the State Assembly for three terms and was instrumental in the formation of San Benito County from Monterey County in 1874. Nearby Tully Mountain is name for him.
