Off Highway Vehicle Fun

There is probably no place in California quite like Clear Creek for vehicle recreation. The old roads and trail provide an infrastructure for exploring the Clear Creek area. Whether you enjoy four-wheeling or dirt-biking, you will be able to find a trail to enjoy. There are roads and trails to satisfy every appetite – from easy to technically difficult. The upper elevations offer spectacular views.

This area is also very rich in California history and because of the rugged conditions and remote location it can only be explored with OHV and dirt bikes are probably the vehicle best suited for exploring this rich and beautiful space. However, irresponsible driving can damage or destroy some these important historical artifacts. Please act responsibly while you tour this wondrous resource of the People's land.

The Clear Creek Management Area is managed by the Bureau of Land Management under a limited use policy, providing access to challenging routes and trails that are numbered and signed.

Helmets and legal spark arrestors are required for OHV operation, as are appropriate State issued OHV Green-Sticker registration.
