Asbestos Ridge Mine

Named on San Benito Mountain 7.5" quadrangle at N36° 19.847; W120° 37.913 at 4107 feet. The claim for this mine was filed by Charlie Akers about 1954, but he later discovered that the claim was on New Idria property and the mine was closed.
