Duckworth CanyonNamed on San Benito Mountain 7.5' quadrangle. Named for Edward Duckworth who had his homestead in this canyon in 1919. This canyon was originally known locally as Pine Canyon. This is a popular wild hog hunting area, which is accessible from the Condon Peak access area. This is also a beautiful hiking area. You get to Duckworth Canyon by parking your vehicle at the Condon Peak access area (30° 17.553N; 120° 40.670W) and hiking directly east. Take care to stay north of the fence. First hike to Garcia Canyon and then continue east to Duckworth Canyon. |
