Garcia CanyonNamed on San Benito Mountain 7.5' quadrangle. This canyon is named for Trinidad Garcia who lived in the area in the late 1800s and had his cabin near the headwater of Los Gatos Creek. This is a popular wild hog hunting area, which is accessible from the Condon Peak access area. This is also a beautiful hiking area. You get to Garcia Canyon by parking your vehicle at the Condon Peak access area (30° 17.553N; 120° 40.670W) and hiking directly east. Take care to stay north of the fence. |
